SPRINGVILLE — Pictured is a patriotic afghan, crocheted by Dicci Montaldi of North Collins, in memory of her late father, Richard Crocker, who was captured and imprisoned in Germany on Dec. 3, 1944 and liberated by the Russians on April 22, 1945.
Crocker would have turned 100 on May 30. The afghan will be raffled off at an upcoming event at the Concord Historical Society. It is currently located near the new World War II display in the Pop Warner Museum.
Raffle tickets may be purchased at the Concord Mercantile, Lucy Bensley Library, Warner Museum or from any Concord Historical Society member.
Proceeds will go toward acquiring new and improving current displays at the museum.
