COLDEN — Stephen Czerniak lost his battle with cancer on March 23. The 50-year-old Colden resident left behind his wife, Stephanie Czerniak, and two sons. Parker Czerniak is 15 and Tyler is 13.
Friends of the Czerniak family will be holding a benefit to support Stephanie, Parker and Tyler Czerniak, on Sunday, April 28.
The event will be held at the Colden Fire Hall, which is located on Route 240 in the town of Colden. The benefit will start at noon and last until 6 p.m.
Presale tickets are currently available. Tickets will also be sold, at the door.
Attendees may participate in a raffle, prizes which include a three-day, deep fishing excursion in Key West, Fla. This package was donated by Adventure Watersport Charters. Airfare is not included. All proceeds will benefit the Czerniak family. The winner will be drawn, during the benefit.
The evening will also feature many other activities, to keep attendees busy, as they commemorate Stephen Czerniak. The event will include live music, a theme auction, a silent auction and a 50/50 raffle.
Food and drinks will also be provided. Those hosting this event said that they encourage the community to “come and join, in the celebration of Stephen’s life.”
