Holiday Valley taken over by motorcycle company

ELLICOTTVILLE — Gowanda Harley-Davidson® will take over Ellicottville’s Holiday Valley Jan. 26 and 27 for Harley®-Day Valley 2013. The weekend is dedicated to learning to ski and learning to ride motorcycles.
Tim McKeever, marketing manager at Gowanda Harley-Davidson, said that this will be the first event of its kind at Holiday Valley.

“This event is geared towards the entire family,” he said. “Whether you ski or ride, or neither, you won’t want to miss out on this fun time.”

Gowanda Harley-Davidson will also be launching its new Jumpstart™ program, which “is a new, exciting opportunity for anyone who has ever dreamed of riding a motorcycle, but has been unsure, to try it out,” McKeever said. “It allows someone to sit on a real Harley-Davidson motorcycle, start it up, go through the gears and experience the thrill that only a Harley can bring, all while remaining stationary, upright and with the safety of our trained staff right alongside of you. You’ll be sitting on top of a brand new, Seventy-Two™ Harley-Davidson motorcycle, overlooking the slopes of Holiday Valley, cruising at 30, 40, even 50 miles per hour. Anyone can do it, and quite frankly, we expect everyone will want to, so come out early.”

Holiday Valley will offer discounts on lodging, throughout the weekend, as well as learn-to-ski packages.

Holiday Valley and Gowanda Harley will also team up to throw a big Miller™ party on Jan. 26 from 3:30 – 7:30 p.m., inside the new Holiday Valley Lodge. The event will feature music by the Bleeding Hearts, Harley giveaways and a Miller snowboard giveaway. Parking is free.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. on Jan. 26 and continue until 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s hours run from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. For more information, visit, or visit
