Locals show animals, crafts and more at Erie County Fair in Hamburg

GOATS ON DISPLAY — These little ladies showed off their goats, during a 4-H goat show held on Aug. 12. A blue ribbon went to a goat from the Hintz farm, in Springville.

HAMBURG — Many local competitors brought their animals, crafts and more to the Erie County Fair, this week. Nick Hintz of Springville shows off his three goats, Angela, Abby and Ashley. The girls had a snack of gumdrops, for good behavior. A rabbit and fluffed-up chicken from Colden hung out with livestock from all around Western New York.

HOW DOES YOUR GARDEN GROW — Students from Boston Valley Elementary decorated this window box, that was displayed at the fair.

FRESH OUT OF THE GATE — This cow was born in the ‘Moo-ternity Ward’ at the Erie County Fair. Mother and baby will return to their home in Collins, after the fair.

WATCH THOSE TEETH — S&S Taxidermy of Springville set up a taxidermy booth in the Erie County Fair Conservation Building, to showcase their wares.
