Bed tax grants available in Cattaraugus County

SPRINGVILLE — Applications for the 2014 Tourism Promotion Grant Program – Group B, for Cattaraugus County groups, are now being accepted. A portion of the bed tax is intended to provide grants for advertising and promoting various new or expanded tourism events, festivals, attractions and experiences that are intended to attract more visitors for longer stays, overnight visits and day trips.
Any eligible grantee will partner and coordinate with the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism.
Chambers, business associations, non-profit organizations, events, festivals and other tourism-associated activities are eligible. The funds in this group will be administered by EDPT. Grantees will partner and coordinate with EDPT. All advertising through this grant will be placed by the department staff.
Applications must be submitted to the Cattaraugus County Department of Economic Development, Planning & Tourism, no later than Dec. 20. Applications received after this date will not be considered.For more information, go to www.EnchantedMountains.com/group-b.
