GET INVOLVED — The DVD-based course “Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food” begins Feb. 21.
SPRINGVILLE — “Imagine if there was a pill that could take off excess weight and keep it off! Unfortunately, we haven’t discovered that miracle yet, so, until we do, many of us keep struggling with yo-yo diets and fad weight loss plans,” said Meaghan Heighway of Christian Counseling Ministries.
“The hardest part about lasting weight loss is that it often requires a lifestyle change,” she said, “a permanent difference in your life, that will keep the pounds at bay. Who has time to overhaul their lives? The good news is that there are tools that can help you make that change gradually, and with a Biblical basis,”
On Feb. 21, Heighway will begin leading a six-week, DVD-based course called “Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food,” authored by New York Times author Lysa TerKeurst.
“This class will help you work through issues that often impede weight loss, while developing a Biblical perspective on personal growth,” Heighway said. She will host the group at her Springville office, located in the Love INC building at 62 East Main St.
The class will be held on Thursdays, from 7 – 9 p.m., for six consecutive weeks, beginning Feb. 21. There is a fee for this class. The workbook and childcare are provided, with the cost.
Reservations for the class can be made, prior to Feb. 10, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
or calling 380 – 1750.
“Ready to get a whole new perspective on how to lose weight?” Heighway asked. “‘Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food’ will do just that.”
