WEST FALLS — Erie County Legislators Joseph Lorigo and JohnMills announced that the seventh annual West Falls-Colden Community Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser, held Aug. 24, raised $1,206 to support the library’s efforts to provide programming to the greater West Falls-Colden community. The donation was presented to director Gloria Potzler, board member Glen Weeks and board member Reita Littlefield on Sept. 10, during a presentation held at the library.
“The fact that the West Falls-Colden community has been able to continue to operate their library is incredibly impressive. The volunteers are to be commended for their efforts and dedication,” Lorigo said.
Started by Mills in 2007, the Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser has raised $6,719, over the years. The West Falls-Colden branch relies on the support of volunteers and has met the needs of patrons for the past several years since transitioning into a community library. Lorigo has partnered with Mills to host these fundraisers since 2012, when redistricting placed the town of Colden in Lorigo’s district 10.
