SPRINGVILLE — During the 55-year reunion of the Springville-Griffith Institute class of 1958, the members decided to become gold sponsors of the community clock project. Their donation was in honor of that class.
The graduating classes of 1960 and 1961 have also become gold sponsors.
Since this photo was taken, the S-GI classes of 1962 and 1966 have also become clock sponsors.
With these additional donations and other pledges, the clock fund has now raised more than $25,000 toward its$40,000 goal. The Howard Replica/Seth Thomas clock with Westminster chimes will be erected in the park at the corner of Main and Mechanic streets in Springville, by Dec.1.
Other classes can also take part in the opportunity to donate. Contact the Concord Historical Society, at 592-0094, or the village historian at 560-8464, for more information, or send donations to the Concord Historical Society at P.O. Box 425, Springville, N.Y. 14141.
