Chestnut Ridge Park is gearing up for the second annual snowman challenge, which will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19 from 12 - 3 p.m. at the park. This free event will take place whether or not there is snow on the ground.
Everything families need to build snowmen, a whole family of snow people or snowless men, will be provided on site. The event will include complimentary refreshments and prizes.
The Healthy Zone Cruiser will also be on site.
Participants may register for the events ahead of time online and then bring an eTicket to enter a drawing for the chance to win more prizes.
“We want to encourage everyone to take one small step toward a healthier lifestyle,” said Gretchen Fierle, vice president and chief communications officer of BlueCross BlueShield. “Building a snowman is an activity that lifts spirits, burns calories and is a great way to have outdoor fun with family and friends.”
For more information and to sign up for the challenge, visit BlueCross BlueShield of WNY’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/bcbsofwny or call 887-8534.
