All-class reunion reunites former classmates

SPRINGVILLE — Springville-Griffith Institute alumni can reconnect with former classmates, during the first all-years class reunion, scheduled for July 19 from 5 – 10 p.m. at Springville Volunteer Fireman’s Park. The event is open to anyone older than 21, even non-graduates.

This event has been modeled after the East Aurora all-class reunion.

The Kiwanis Club of Springville will provide food, and a beer truck and wine will also be available. A sound system will be set up, for background music or impromptu musical acts.

To help former classmates find each other, a board will be set up for each class, with spaces in which members can write their names and phone numbers.

The first 500 individuals who buy tickets will receive a free mug on which “All-year reunion” is written.

The event is being sponsored by the Kiwanis Club, Emerling Ford, Emerling Chrysler and the Boys & Girls Club of Springville. Proceeds of a split club raffle will go to the Kiwanis and Boys & Girls clubs.

Security will be arranged by Bruce Moritz and parking attendants will make sure attendees have somewhere to put their cars.

A golf outing to Concord Crest Golf Course in East Concord will tee off on July 20 at 2 p.m. This 18-hole, four-person scramble will include a cart and lunch. Part of that entry fee will also benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Springville.

Tickets for the reunion may be purchased from Kiwanis club members and at Julie’s Pizzeria, the Boys & Girls Club and Emerling Ford.

To volunteer for the event, email organizer Ashley Kehr at mapleview1@gmail.com. Golfers who want to purchase tickets for the golf outing may email Eric Lawton at princelawton@yahoo.com.
