CONCORD — Erie County Legislator John Mills announced that a series of community outreach meetings have been scheduled, to discuss programs and services available through the Erie County Department of Social Services. Representatives from that department will be on hand, to provide an overview of the programs offered, as well as answer residents’ specific questions.
An outreach meeting has been scheduled for Aug. 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the Concord Town Hall, located at 86 Franklin St. in Springville.
Topics to be discussed include temporary assistance, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, Home Energy Assistance Program, medical assistance, child support, employment services, daycare and preventive and supportive services for children, youth, families and adults.
At the outreach event, each attendee will receive a handbook that provides an overview of ECDSS services, along with contact information for the various programs.
