Hot Dog Roast raises funds for area libraries

The 2014 Hot Dog Roast fundraiser will be making its way to the area this summer. Erie County Legislator John Mills announced the dates for this years fundraiser, which include Boston, North Collins, Concord, Collins and West Falls.

The Hot Dog Roast fundraiser helps raise money for local libraries to support programming or purchase of equipment. In the eight years of this fundraiser, approximately $40,000 has been raised for local libraries.

“I am excited to once again partner with libraries in my district to host the Hot Dog Roast fundraiser and support the branches’ efforts to meet the needs of the community. Each year the events grow in popularity and we have a great turnout,” Legislator Mills said. “Thank-you to everyone for their support and I look forward to this year’s events. It is great to see the community come together to support the library.”

Fundraisers will be held on the following dates: Thursday, June 19 at the Boston Free Library, located at 9475 Boston State Road from 5:30- 7 p.m.; Wednesday, July 2 at the North Collins Library, located at 2095 School St., from 4-7 p.m.; Thursday, July 10 at the Concord Public Library, located at 18 Chapel St., from 4-7 p.m.; Saturday, July 26 at the Town of Collins Public Library, located at 2341 Main St., from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m.; and the West Falls-Colden Library, located at 1966 Davis Road, from 11 a.m.- 2 p.m. with Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo.
