Free event hosting comedian to be held in town

Andy Thibodeau
SPRINGVILLE — Comedian Andy Thibodeau, along with guest singer and songwriter Gatlin Walters, will be appearing on Monday, Jan. 7 at 6 p.m. at the Joylan Theatre at 11 West Main St. in Springville.

Thibideau’s presentation is called “Share Your Care! Laughing and Learning as I Travel North America.”

“While my presentation is geared toward teens, it’s fun for the whole family,” Thibideau said.

Thibodeau has traveled North America, giving leadership lessons and comedy lectures at schools and conferences, since 1992.

More than 2 million people have seen him speak, in 10 Canadian provinces and 39 states, including more than 30 schools in Western New York.

Thibodeau uses stories with the stated goal of highlighting the power of the individual to make a difference. He said, “If care is contagious, it has to start with you.”

In his presentation, he shares examples of caring to remind people their efforts can make a difference.

Before Thibodeau’s presentation, there will be a live performance by Walters, beginning at 6:15 p.m.

This is a free event and the community may attend. The snack bar will be open before Thibodeau’s presentation.

This event is sponsored by Subway of Springville and Ellicottville, Joylan Theatre, West Valley Teachers Association, Springville Crossing Church, JimHoweConcerts.com and the Boys & Girls Club of Springville Board of Directors.
