The annual Colden Festival, a Celebration of Art, Community & Music, will be held on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7 and 8, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., each day.
With roots dating back to 1968, the Colden Festival is one of the oldest art festivals in Western New York. It will feature a juried art show and vendor areas, where local artists and crafters will display and sell their goods.
On Sept. 8, will be the Southern Tier Auto Buffs and Colden Fire Department’s annual car show. Prizes, music and food will be available.
A chicken barbecue will be provided by Wendel’s Poultry Farm of East Concord. Hamburgers, hot dogs and Italian sausage will also be available at the festival, as well as numerous local restaurants serving up their finest dishes.
New this year to the Festival will be the first Belle Starr Music Festival, to be held on Saturday, Sept. 7. The festival will feature Belle Starr Saloon with headliner Willie Nile. Other bands featured include Posse and the Billy Brite Band, as well as Hintz of Thunder, The Springville All-Star Marching Band, JT & Jon Law, Stevie Fleck and The Grace Stumberg Band.
Doors open at 1:30 p.m. and the music begins at 2 p.m. Presale tickets are available at the Colden Country Inn. Tickets will also be available at the door. Tickets can also be purchased online at coldenfestival.com. The concert will be held behind the Colden Country Inn, rain or shine.
