Griffins Day of Giving Oct. 18

SPRINGVILLE — Springville-Griffith Institute High School is looking for community partners to put students and staff to work. The high school will be working to deepen the impact and increase the scope of community service, initiating a program called “Griffins Day of Giving.”

On Oct.18, with a rain date of Oct. 21, members of the senior classes, along with their teachers, will take to the streets, parks and other community entities, to help beautify and benefit the members of the community. Each student will spend one full day engaged in service and experiencing volunteerism.

The school is seeking groups and organizations who might use assistance. S-GI HS will deploy approximately 80 students and staff, with the goal of making an impact on the greater Springville area.

Community organizations who could use assistance, or who have suggestions for students and staff regarding community improvement, should contact S-GI High School Principal Vincent Vanderlip at vvanderlip@springvillegi.org, with the subject “S-GI HS: Griffins Day of Giving,” or call the principal’s office at 592-3283.

All requests will be considered.
