East Otto country open house slated

EAST OTTO — East Otto Country Associates will hold its holiday open house on Nov. 2 and 3.
East Otto Country consists of three member businesses: Brookside Studio Watercolors, Mill Street Gallery and Hog Shed Studio Pottery.
Artist Robin Zefers Clark is the owner of Brookside Studio Watercolors, which is located on Route 13 in East Otto. Clark creates original watercolor paintings, which relate an ongoing pictorial record of life in Western New York. She displays her paintings in her Amish-built studio gallery, along with a selection of limited-edition prints and notecards. Hog Shed Studio Pottery is one of the founding member businesses of East Otto Country. Michael and Elliott Hutten have produced a variety of original functional stoneware pottery from more than 30 years, including mugs, bowls, casserole dishes, vases and porcelain and stoneware jewelry and pins. The studio hours are Wednesday-Sunday, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m., from May 1 until Christmas. For more information, call 257-9549.
Mill Street Gallery is located in the town of Ellicottville. Owner Barbara Fox paints in both oil and watercolors. Her paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions in museums and galleries, throughout the United States. She is a member of the National Watercolor Society and the International Guild of Realism, among others. Her work has been published in three editions of the watercolor publication “Splash: the Best of Watercolor Painting,” and she has been a featured artist in art magazines “American Artists” and “Watercooler Magic.” She leads watercolor workshops around the county, teaching her method of layering washes and painting details.
Fox also works as an illustrator and is a master designer for the United States Mint.
