Boston to hold Christmas concert on Dec. 8

BOSTON — The 21st annual town of Boston Christmas concert will be held on Dec. 8, at 2 p.m., at Boston Valley Elementary School.

Band Director Kyle Kohan has arranged a Christmas program with the Boston Band and vocalist Onna Wilson, a Collins resident.

Wilson, a graduate of Springville-Griffith Institute, studied music at the State University of New York at Fredonia and Houghton College, prior to becoming a music teacher at Pioneer Central School. She will sing “White Christmas,” “Hark, the Herald Angels Sing,” and “O Holy Night.” In addition, the band will perform “Joy to The Season,” “A Christmas Carol” and will conclude the concert with “Stars and Stripes of Christmas.”

Lake Effect, a five-member, all-male a capella group, will be joining the town band, this year.

The concert is free and cookies and punch will be served in the school cafeteria, after the concert.
