Free artist workshops at SCA

The Springville Center for the Arts is offering a series of free workshops beginning this month for artists in any field. Workshops will include marketing, utilizing social media and accounting geared specifically toward artists.
The first of the series will be “The Curatorial Process” with Gerald Meade on Feb. 20 at 7 p.m. As a former art museum curator, Meade can provide multiple perspectives to de-mystify the process for getting work exhibited. On March 21 at 7 p.m., the SCA’s new director of programming and outreach, Jess Moore, will host “An Introduction to Social Media,” navigating various websites such as Twitter®, Facebook® and LinkedIn®.
Workshops will be held at the Springville Center for the Arts, 37 North Buffalo St., Springville. To register, call 592-9038 or visit during SCA’s open hours: Tuesday-Friday 12 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. -3 p.m.
