SPRINGVILLE — Drizzly skies did not stop the music, as the Concert in the Park series took it inside the Concord Town Hall on June 13. The Buffalo Silver Band, directed by Springville resident Bill Cocca, played marches, big band and jazz music to a soggy crowd.

Louis Starr of Springville said “I enjoy the concerts, and I enjoy the hoedowns, down the street.” The resident said he planned to stop down there, after the show.

Debby Vanderpuy

Debby Vanderpuy, who traveled from Williamsville, is a follower of the band.

“I love these concerts,” she said. “I follow The Buffalo Silver, wherever they play.”

Jenny Sullivan

Jenny Sullivan of Colden said that she also enjoys the Thursday nights out.

“I love the concerts. They’re great,” Sullivan said, with a smile.

Next week’s band will be The Frankfurters, playing German music. The concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. in Fiddlers Green Park and inside Concord Town Hall, if it rains.
