Make noteworthy notes at the SCA gelatin workshop

THE BIG REVEAL — Angela Ginnitti, artist and teacher, demonstrates gelatin printing for young participants.
SPRINGVILLE — Springville Center for the Arts will run a “Noteworthy Notes” gelatin print workshop for artists of all ages, taught by artist and educator Angela Ginnitti. During this workshop, Ginnitti will demonstrate the gelatin plate technique that results in one-of-a-kind prints.

Participants will make notepaper, greeting cards, and frameable prints – each piece different, with every pull off the gelatin print plate.

Because materials are easy to get and no printing press is required, gelatin printing is accessible to anyone. Skills learned in this workshop may be used at home and with young children. Gelatin printing is a form of monoprinting, in which only one image is created, each time the paper is pulled from an inked plate.

Advanced registration is required for this workshop; call the SCA at 592-9038 to register. The Noteworthy Notes workshop is open to all ages, but young children should be accompanied by a parent or caregiver. The class runs from 1-4 p.m. on Nov. 9, at the Arts Underground, located at 66 East Main St. in Springville.

There is a cost for the workshop, which includes printing materials, stationery sets and refreshments.
