SPRINGVILLE — Auditions for the Springville Players’ second show of the season, “The 39 Steps,” will take place at the Springville Center for the Arts, located at 37 North Buffalo St. in Springville.
The auditions will be held Dec. 10 and 11, from 7 – 9 p.m. The play is based on a Hitchcock film and this reinterpretation, written by Patrick Barlow, requires a cast of four actors who will together play more than 100 parts. No advance preparation is required. Perusal scripts are available at the SCA. This production will run Feb. 7 – 17.
The SCA has also announced auditions for its June production of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning play, “Glengarry Glen Ross.”
This will be a co-ed production of David Mamet’s comedy about real estate salespeople’s trying to earn a living.
Auditions will be held at the SCA. Actors who can play ages ranging from 20s – 60s, men or women, will be supplied sides for readings on Monday, Dec. 3 from 7 – 9 p.m. and on Tuesday, Dec. 4 from 7 – 9 p.m. To obtain emailed, advance copies of sides, contact director Ronald Leonardi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
