Creek Bend to perform at Springville Center for the Arts

GOOD LISTENING — Creek Bend, a Buffalo-based band, will perform at the Springville Center for the Arts on Dec. 8.
SPRINGVILLE — Creek Bend, a Buffalo-based group, has been performing bluegrass music for more than 25 years.

The band has played at and produced local concerts with bluegrass artists, including The Johnson Mountain Boys, Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, the Bluegrass Cardinals and Bill Monroe.

In 1992, Creek Bend won first place at the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival.

Julianna Nota, 12, accompanied by “The Volunteers,” will open for Creek Bend at the SCA.

Julianna has been playing throughout Western New York, at coffeehouses, open mic events and venues, including the Springville Center for the Arts and the Wellsville Creative Arts Center, since she was 8 years old. This musician sings a variety of songs, from country to pop.

The Springville Center for the Arts is located at 37 North Buffalo St. in Springville.

The Dec. 8 show will begin at 8 p.m. Doors will open at 7:30.
