ON DISPLAY — Pictured is a photograph taken by Richard VanOver in Japan, during the 1950s.
SPRINGVILLE — “Through My Eye” is a collection of photographs of Japan, from 1956 – 58, on display at VanOver Fine Arts Studio in Springville.
Richard VanOver, owner of the arts studio, was a photographer in the U.S. Navy, from 1955 – 1986. He traveled the world and captured, on film, what he saw on his adventures.
VanOver was stationed in Atsugi Navel Air Station, Japan, in 1958. Most of his photographs were shot on 35-mm slide film. This is the first time his slide images have been made into photographic prints.
The exhibition will be on display, through April 27. For more information, visit www.vanoverfinearts.blogspot.com
