WEST FALLS — Aurora Waldorf School, located in West Falls, welcomed its new class of first-graders at the school’s opening day Rose Ceremony. The Rose Ceremony assembly celebrates the first morning of the school year, in which students, faculty, staff, parents and friends gather to ring in the new year. The community is introduced to faculty, the school board and staff. The first-graders are welcomed to the school with the gift of a rose from the eighth graders.

Their teacher, Beth McNamara, is a master Waldorf teacher, taking her third class through AWS. Originally an assistant district attorney and assistant United States attorney, she received her Waldorf Teacher Training through Sunbridge College.
