Cattaraugus County 4-H members serve at Ronald McDonald house

SERVICE WITH A SMILE –– These 4-H participants cooked up a tasty meal for the Ronald McDonald house.
The Cattaraugus County 4-H Teen Council visited the Ronald McDonald House of Buffalo on Sunday, Feb. 12. They made dinner for the guests and frosted Valentine’s Day and 4-H clover cut-out cookies.
Nine teen council members, along with some family members, made ranch chicken, macaroni and cheese, salad, garlic bread and a vegetable, along with the cookies.
The Ronald McDonald House is a community-supported organization dedicated to helping sick children and their families by offering a home away from home and providing lodging and support for families of children receiving medical treatment.
The 4-H Teen Council brings teens together from clubs around the county and interest areas to participate in community service projects. They visit different businesses to get career ideas.
Upcoming trips include LaserTron and Darien Lake. For more information, call Bonnie Moore, 4-H program educator, at the 4-H office at 699-2377 ext. 120.
