The Springville-Griffith Institute High School music department has several students that were accepted to participate in Erie All-County honors ensembles.

The Junior High South All-County Festival, which features grades seven - nine, will be held at Frontier High School on March 16 and 17. The Senior High Festival, featuring grades 10 - 12, will be held at the University at Buffalo on March 23 and 24.

The students were selected as a result of their ratings at the Erie County Music Educators Association solo festivals in January. The ensembles include the highest-graded junior and senior high musicians in Western New York. Each group, including a band, orchestra and chorus, rehearses with a music teacher and performs in a concert.
