Schedule of Erie County Fair 4-H/FFA events

Following is the schedule for 4-H and Future Farmers of America animal and exhibit showings at the Erie County Fair:

On Wednesday, Aug. 7, the 4-H dairy cattle show will be held, in the Showplex building, starting at 2:30 p.m. At 7:30 p.m., the 4-H cattle dressing contest will be held, also in that building.

On Thursday, Aug. 8, the 4-H/FFA poultry show will be held at 9 a.m., in the poultry and rabbit barn. At 9:30 a.m., the 4-H swine show will be held in the Showplex. From 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., there will be hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations in the 4-H development building. At 5 p.m., the 4-H/FFA working goat show will be held, in the livestock arena and at 7 p.m., the open class holstein junior showmanship show will be held in Showplex.

On Friday, Aug. 9, the 4-H rabbit show will be held in the poultry and rabbit barn at 9 a.m.; the 4-H/FFA cattle show will be held in Showplex, at 10 a.m. From 10 a.m. – 8 p.m., hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H live demonstrations will be held at the 4-H development building. BBR hog show will be held in Showplex at 2 p.m.; the 4-H dairy challenge will be held, in Showplex at 6:30 p.m. and the 4-H fiber goat show will be held in Barn 11, at a time to be announced.

On Saturday, Aug. 10, hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be held, in the 4-H youth development building, at 10 a.m. Table setting exhibition, senior-level live demonstrations will be held, in the 4-H youth development building, at 12:30 p.m. The 4-H/FFA swine dressing contest will be held, in the swine barn, at 5 p.m. At 7 p.m., the 4-H rabbit dressing contest will be held in Showplex and at 8 p.m., the 4-H/FFA poultry dressing contest will be held in Showplex.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, at 9 a.m., the 4-H/FFA dairy goat show will be held in Barn 11. Hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstration will be held in the 4-H development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. At 1 p.m., the 4-H/FFA market swine, rabbit and poultry auction will be held in Showplex. At 7 p.m., there will be 4-H/FFA goat dressing in Showplex.

On Monday, Aug. 12, horse showmanship, performance classes and English working classes will be in Ring 1, from 7 – 7:30 a.m. Hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be in the 4-H youth development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The 4-H dairy judging contest will be held in Showplex at 11 a.m.; 4-H fashion show, held in the family entertainment complex, at 11:30 a.m. At 4 p.m., the 4-H talent show will be held in the family entertainment center. The horse award program will be held at 6 p.m.

On Tuesday, Aug. 13, the horse game class will be held, in the horse show arena. Hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be held in the 4-H youth development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The sheep leadline contest, held in Showplex, will be at 6:30 p.m.

On Wednesday, Aug. 14, 4-H/FFA market lamb and breeding sheep show will be held in Showplex, at 10 a.m.; hands-on activities public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be held in the 4-H youth development building. The 4-H/FFA sheep and meat goat dressing will be held in the livestock arena.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, the 4H/FFA market steer show, market steer showmanship, beef breeding cattle showmanship, heifer show, New York bred, born and raised steer show will be held in the livestock arena at 9:30 a.m. Hands-on activities, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be held in the 4-H development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The 4-H/FFA meat got show will be held in barn 11 at 5 p.m.

On Friday, Aug. 16, the 4-H/FFA New York born, bred and raise sheep show will be held in the livestock arena at 10 a.m.; hands-on activities, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations will be held in the 4-H youth development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m.

On Saturday, Aug. 17, there will be hand-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations in the 4-H youth development building, from 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. The beef auction, market lamb auction and meat goat auction will be held, starting at 1 p.m., in Showplex.

On Sunday, Aug. 18, there will be hands-on activities, public presentations, mannequin modeling and 4-H alive demonstrations in the 4-H youth development building, from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., the 4-H dog show will be held in Showplex.
