Senior Vice Commander Dan Glor and Brandon Sullivan
SPRINGVILLE — The Felton-Burns Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5260 recently donated $250, in support of Brandon Sullivan’s Eagle Scout project. Sullivan is a Life Scout with Boy Scout Troop 524 in Springville.
The planned project is a 24-by-40-foot turnout shelter for the High Hurdles Therapeutic Riding Program at Suburban Adult Services Inc. in Sardinia.
High Hurdles provides therapeutic horse riding programs for children and adults with disabilities. The new shelter will provide the horses with protection from the weather.
Sullivan said that he chose this shelter for his Eagle project, because “I have a strong belief in the services SASi provides for individuals with disabilities.” He presented and discussed his project with the members of the post, during a recent meeting, and received approval and funding.
This is the third Eagle Scout project that VFW Post 5260 has supported, this year.
