The Springville Center for the Arts’ production of “Dinner with Friends” is 2 hours of captivating drama, comedy, anger and love. I was offered the opportunity to occupy a seat, at a recent rehearsal, and what a treat it was.
Veteran Director Patricia Maxwell has put together a wonderful show. Four veteran actors, two who are new to the SCA, portray two couples, who have shared years of friendship and are now sharing the tumultuous breakup of one of the couples.
The SCA has, once again, given the community the opportunity to enjoy first-class theater, right here in Springville.
The play does include language some may find offensive; however, the use is not gratuitous and the play more powerful, for it.
Shows begin April 11th. Support the local arts and enjoy top-notch theater, for the cost of a fast food meal.
The SCA has put together dinner and the show packages, with several Springville area restaurants, so plan a night out for some dinner with friends and enjoy “Dinner with Friends.”
You won’t be disappointed.
