Voicing support for Gernatt as Collins town justice
Friday November 1, 2013 | By:Tom Flynn |
I am writing this letter in support of Brian Gernatt and recommending that residents vote for him and elect him to the position of Collins town justice. He is the endorsed candidate of the Republican, Independence and Conservative parties.
Justice Cain has done a very admirable job, over the last year, bettering the court process in the town of Collins.
I believe that having another town justice, who has a lengthy criminal justice background, would make the system even better, for the town of Collins.
I personally had the pleasure of working with Brian as my supervisor, for many years, in the New York State Department of Corrections, and came to know that no matter the situation or matter that had to be attended to, he has always been up to the task.
When handling disciplinary hearings, he has always been fair and objective. Brian always took the time to hear all sides of every issue, and rules without any resolution.
Having written how I feel, I believe that, after 27 years, it is time for a change for the better, in the Collins town justice position.
