Springville Journal letter to the editor: Football coach needed for Springville Little League

Editor:
Springville Little League Football is looking for a new head coach for the Pee Wee Bills.

Ideally, interested candidates should have some football playing or coaching experience, but it is not required.

This is an excellent opportunity for young, NYS-certified teachers and coaches to get experience working with youth in the community.

Once selected, the head coach will be certified by USA Football in Level 1 football coaching.

Heads Up concussion prevention training and certification in Red Cross, CPR and First Aid will also be provided, by the league.

Candidates must be able to pass a full criminal background check. The head coach will be able to put together a coaching staff, which the SLLF Board of Directors will approve.

In addition, please be aware that there is a considerable time commitment involved, with this position. Practices are held five days a week until the games begin, at the end of August.

All games are played on the weekend: Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Please send a letter of interest, via email, to the following address by July 18th: springvillelittleleaguefootball@aol.com.
