The Springville-Griffith Community Education Foundation would like to thank the 200-plus guests, sponsors and supporters of our steak dinner, on Aug. 28, to raise money for the Springville-Griffith Institute athletic program.

Thanks to this effort, the foundation will be able to complete a $5,000 donation to the football program, which will provide equipment and gear for the teams as they enter another spectacular season.

Thank you to the staff at Papa Jake’s Restaurant, for managing our crowd and making our meal.

Special thanks go to the Springville Alumni Association, Springville Health and Fitness, S&S Taxidermy, Shamel Milling, Scott Kearns and Don Feuz, for providing our very popular raffle items.

Another thanks goes to Rosie Sutherland, who created a delicious and massive cake, to provide all our guests with dessert.

We are grateful for the support that our organization continues to receive from individuals in Springville. We are here to make a difference in the lives of children and families, and to keep Springville a great place in which to live and work.

Please join us at our sixth annual wine tasting and silent auction, on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Springville Health and Fitness, as we work to raise $25,000 for the Bertrand Chaffee Hospital’s nuclear medicine camera. Tickets are available at the hospital or by contacting 592-2296 or
