On Saturday, Sept.14, 2013, Love In the Name of Christ held its 15th Annual Fall Auction at the First United Methodist Church in Springville. On behalf of the board of directors of Love INC of Springville, I would like to thank all who contributed to the success of the event.
In addition to being a fundraiser for the ministry of our churches, it is an evening when members of our network of 17 churches can celebrate our unity in Christ’s church.
Thank you to the First United Methodist Church for hosting our event, to Diane Fleckenstein and friends for catering, and to all of those who contributed desserts. Thanks to our auctioneer, James Mason, of RG Mason Auctions, for keeping things moving at lightning speed.
We would like to thank the sponsors of this year’s banquet: Concord Crest Golf Course, Springville Door & Window, Inc., T.G. Adams & Associates, Inc., Gramco Inc., Bertrand Chaffee Hospital Medical Staff, Software Inventors, Kelly O’Neal Adams, Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Benson, Dr. Paul Connelly, Faith United Church of Christ, Joseph Rumfola DDS, Springville Hardware & Homewear, Bill and Wendy Cocca, Kempo Martial Arts Academy and McDonald’s of Springville and Arcade.
Special thanks go to Kathy Trautman and Sharon Heinen, for sharing their time and love in the name of Christ, in the months of planning and preparation.
We also are very grateful to Nina Hansen, Amy Bobseine, Lois Scharf-Newman, Mary Ann Seales, Stan Handzlik and Gary Schindler for their help before, during and after our event. Also, to Adam Tillinghast, for his technical assistance.
Our world is in good hands with the next generation of volunteers. The students from the Assembly of God and the First United Methodist Church were very courteous and helpful. Thank you to their adult leaders, Miriam Smith (AOG), and Samantha and Luke Skura (FUMC).
All funds raised from the evening event help to further Love INC’s mission to help churches help people. Please contact our office at 592-3761, if you have questions about who we are and what we do.
