A bleated thank-you

I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank everyone who has responded as a result of Marlene’s accident.

A special thank-you to the brave men and women of the East Concord and Springville Volunteer Fire Departments. Your dedication, hard work and sacrifice is greatly appreciated. Every day, 24 hours a day, you risk your lives to save our lives and property. I’d like to thank the EMTs who cared for Marlene at the scene and in the ambulance ride to the helicopter. I thank the pilots and medical personnel of Mercy Flight for their trip to ECMC.

I’m thankful for Pastor Randy Smith and Pastor Stan Handzlik for your prayers at the scene. Your prayers gave me the strength to endure an extremely difficult situation.

To Ted Welch, for his support at the scene and his continued assistance. To the police officers and the Erie County Highway for many hours of necessary traffic control.

Thank you to all our family and friends for their gifts, visits, cards, food, phone calls, words of encouragement and continued prayers.

A special thanks to all of the bus drivers and attendants from Springville, Holland and Orchard Park. Please keep them in your prayers each day. They have a very difficult job to do, but they do it extremely well.

Most importantly, I thank God for his protections and his healing in the days to come. It is truly a miracle that Marlene survived the accident, and with only an overnight stay at the hospital.

Thank-you all for everything you have done and continue to do. You have been a tremendous blessing to us.

Ed and Marlene Golabek
