Town of Sardinia taxpayers should wake up

Taxpayers of Sardinia who are gloating over the tax rebate should remember your neighbors who, over the years, have suffered greatly by being near the landfill and now, another gravel pit. Their homes have lost value and salability and their lives have changed drastically from sight, smell and sounds from the corporations who have taken over the town.
The money that is available should be used for future projects, so these people can feel assured that their suffering wasn’t completely in vain.
If it wasn’t for the organizations in town that looked to the future, there would be no parks, no swimming pool, no fire company (which made 36 calls from July 6 – Aug. 10), no historical building, no veterans’ building, etc. We would be all landfill and gravel pits.
Let’s put this money toward the betterment of the town and become a community again.
