Cheryl Earl seeks re-election

I am seeking re-election this fall. I believe personal issues should not be the reasons to run as a public servant. Public service is a decision an individual chooses to do, to help in his or her best capacity, for the betterment of their community. No matter what job I ever have had, past, present or future, I will always dedicate myself of doing my best.
I am my own person and make my own decisions, while continuing to learn from every experience. In the past four years, I’ve been honored to serve on your town board and would be honored to serve the town of Sardinia for the next four years.
Over the past term, I have attended 46 out of 47 town board meetings, along with additional monthly meetings for important involvement for our town. I have attended meetings regardless of the controversy that I may face; I am not one to skip a meeting because I am afraid to vote on difficult matters; this is why I am your public servant. I would like to thank you for letting me re-introduce myself.
In our town’s upcoming election, I am seeking re-election. Why ?
I understand the town of Sardinia’s needs. A place to live with progressive growth. The majority of the residents that live here know that we have potential to work somewhere else, to bring money back in town. We support our local businesses and organizations. We enjoy small-town living.
Our residents travel to and from their jobs. It is important that our roads and highways are maintained. Over the past four years, I have supported the updating of new equipment for our highway department. Safety of our residents needs to be one of the priorities in our community. I believe in updating and maintaining our buildings and parks. Over the past term, Manion Park in the hamlet of Chaffee has had progressive growth. The walking path that surrounds the park has been a great improvement. The ball diamond with the new dug-outs looks fantastic and serves as a tremendous safety factor for our young ball-players.
Future improvements of Veterans Park are being planned as I write this letter – which include a walking path, upgrades to the pool house and bathroom upgrades at Manion Park. The ball diamonds at Veterans Park will be restored. Our parks are well-complimented, not only from our residents, but from non-residents who rent shelters and hold weddings, parties and family re-unions. I am looking forward to maintain this way life in our town of Sardinia.
