Springville Journal letter to the editor: St. Aloysius is preparing for its annual lawn fete

What/when: St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church will hold its chicken dinner and lawn fete event, on Saturday, July 13, 2013, 11 p.m.; Sunday, July 14, 2013; 11:30 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Welcome to our Saturday evening casino fun night! Music will be presented by the 90 West Band. Tasty refreshments will be available, at the food stand.
You may enjoy the gambling and beer tent, raffles and outdoor bingo, hourly 50/50, theme basket preview, $3,000 money raffle and bell jar.
Our famous chicken barbecue dinner will be buffet- style on Sunday, along with the homemade desserts, in our air-conditioned parish hall. Takeouts are also available. Dinners will be served at 11:30 a.m. and extend to 3 p.m., or until sold out.
Apen Family Band will perform from 1 – 3 p.m. Untouchables Band will perform from 3 – 6 p.m. Gambling and beer tent, along with the food stand, will be available.
– $3,000 money raffle and bell jar sales.
Kids: Enjoy the games and inflatable rides! Outdoor bingo games, theme basket auction, country store, antique classic car show.
Winners of the money raffle will be drawn, as well as the multitude of theme basket raffle items will take place, around 7 p.m.
Where: St Aloysius Church grounds, 592-2701, 190 Franklin St., off Route 39, at the corner of Academy Street, Springville, NY 14141.
Why: Part of the mission statement of St Aloysius Parish is, “In a spirit of unity, we seek to activate and enliven our community, for the task of renewing the face of the earth.”
