The year kicked off to a good start for Dream Katchers

Dream Katchers has started off 2013 with beginning a teen group (still in the growing stage). The two groups have worked on Easter cards and centerpieces for nursing homes.
In December 2012, we were able to distribute over 1,100 Christmas cards to various nursing homes, Concord Meals on Wheels and some military families at Fort Hood, Texas.
Our adult group’s first dance was held Feb. 16, having a Mardi Gras theme, and attended by over 60 individuals. The future dance themes include beach, sock hop, red carpet, Christmas in July, Halloween and holiday.
We continue to look for a place we can call home, to use for either smaller activities or everything. Also, your cards and calendars are still being put to good use. We are looking for challenged teens who may be interested in getting together for various activities: movie, crafts, dance. If you would like to volunteer at any event, join us at a planning meeting, find out more about us, please contact. We would love to have you on board.
April 5 will be our fourth annual “An Evening with “Elvis,” with Terry Buckwald, at Michael’s Banquet Facility. The doors will open at 7 p.m. and great entertainment by Terry will be 8 – 11 p.m. This evening will include a cash bar, food available for purchase, 50/50, auction items and more. Presale tickets are $10. With the purchase of 10 presale tickets, you can reserve a table. At-the-door price is $15.
Anyone interested in donating a basket, items, gift certificate or anything to this event or, for tickets, please contact Deb at 860-0368 or firstname.lastname@example.org. Please consider coming out for a fun-filled evening. Enjoy great entertainment, while supporting a local nonprofit and the individuals it serves.
A huge thank you, to the area businesses who allowed our flyers to be up, promoting our event.
