Looking for prize vacation

I would like to tell you my experience with the Oktoberfest, last month.
It was a very nice event. My husband and I were handed a slip to fill out, asking us to put down our name and address, so that we could be entered in a contest for a trip to Florida. Well, we thought going to Florida would be great. We have friends there.
Well, lo and behold, we got a phone call. The woman said, “You won the trip to Florida!” I asked if she really meant that we really won, or if we were just in the final drawing for the trip. She insisted that we won. She said that, for sure, she would call us the very next day, with all the details.
In the meantime, we called our friends in Florida and told them that we were looking forward to coming in. They said they could pick us up at the airport and so on. But for some reason, we never heard from this woman, again.
I contacted the chamber of commerce. They gave me the name and number of the organization. It is the Vacation Getaways.
I called them, expecting to be given the details of our trip. But they said they had no idea what I was talking about. Then, they gave me other numbers to call. They did not know what we were talking about either, and another number I was given there was never any answer, at all. All I got was the big runaround.
I called the chamber of commerce again and, not only were they were no help at all, but they couldn’t care less.
I want to know where my free trip went to. It seems it must have gone to someone’s friend. It was taken from us and passed on to someone else. Or there was no trip at all; and I am angry.
Next year, when you go to the Oktoberfest, all I can say is, beware!
