Shop Main Street in Springville

I want to have a thriving Main Street in Springville.
I don’t want it filled with empty, boarded-up storefronts, like the bad neighborhoods in Buffalo and Detroit, populated only by drug dealers and addicts’ looking to score.
I want to support businesspeople who have a stake in my community, not a mega-corp., who only see my hometown as a cash cow to be milked.
I like being able to get a Phillips flathead screw or a unique gift, without spending a hour walking around, trying to find it. I prefer my cappuccino without enough high-fructose corn syrup to kill a diabetic.
I recently was looking for flaxseed. It wasn’t at the two big stores. I found it downtown.
I realize I can’t get everything on Main Street, but I do go there, first. You should, too.
