Ten Lives Club seeks help
Tuesday November 26, 2013 | By:Marie Edwards |
Ten Lives Club non-profit cat rescue and adoption group is nearing 14 years, as one of the leading cat rescue organizations in Erie and nearby counties. Since our start, the lives of more than 18,000 felines have been saved or assisted. You may know of us, as we helped with a stray cat situation, a mother cat and babies that found their way to your property, orphaned kittens that you came upon, cats that needed to be humanely trapped and then spayed or neutered or you have benefitted from the very low-cost spay/neuter services we provided, years ago, to over 3,000 cats, with our mobile clinic. We may have taken in your personal pet(s) you needed to place for whatever reason; you may know someone we helped or have heard good things about us through word of mouth. You may have adopted from us or we helped you by offering you advice and support, at times financial aid or food for the strays, feral or barn cats you help to feed. You may be a senior, who took advantage of our Senior Kitty program, matching hundreds of seniors with senior cats, or you may be a family member or friend seeing firsthand the benefit of this unique program. How many times were many of you desperate, in your immediate request for help, and Ten Lives Club stepped in to offer assistance? This year alone, we have taken in 1,311 stray and homeless cats into our program. If we were not in existence, where would these cats go?
We have purchased a building on 1.6 acres of land in Hamburg. With the closure of the SPCA in the Angola area, more than four years ago, there is critical need for us to fill this void in the Southtowns and other towns that need help. This shelter will provide all rescue services, a vet clinic and adoption center, under one roof. The property, with renovations, will cost an estimated $350,000. We are asking for help. This is your chance to say thanks for helping you find the cat of your dreams, the family pet you cherish or for acknowledging our good work in the community. It is your chance to make a difference, to fund a shelter that will stay operational for the next generation to run to take care of the animals that need help.
We have rarely said no to help. Can you now say yes to help? Please consider a donation so we can build a state-of-the-art shelter that Western New York so desperately needs.
Naming rights of the shelter and rooms are available for business and individual donors. Donations can be sent to Ten Lives Club, P.O. Box 253, North Boston, NY, 14110, through credit card at our website: tenlivesclub.com or by calling 646-5577. In-kind donations or services to help remodel and build are welcome. Tax receipts can be provided, for any type donation.
