Letter contradicts amendment’s true meaning

Why, Bill Wohlhueter quotes the Second Amendment, “a well-regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed,” and then go on to say that right was not given to protect ourselves from criminals, or to protect ourselves from a tyrannical government or hunt, but only to maintain a well-regulated militia.
Really, Bill? Where does the Second Amendment say only to keep a well-regulated militia? Do you and Larry Schultz have any idea as to why we keep and bear arms? The answer is all of the above, plus many more.
The SAFE Act, signed by Gov. Cuomo, is nothing more than the beginning of a gun grab, by the government. The truth is, Bill, President Obama, Gov. Cuomo and their fellow politicians have no real plan for curbing gun violence.
Twenty children were murdered by a psychopath and they smelled blood. And they did what politicians do. They used the poor, dead children to push their political agenda. Can you tell me why our children are not protected by armed security but the politicians’ kids are? Or, for that matter, why politicians have armed security, are allowed to carry a gun, for personal protection, but if you receive a pistol permit in Erie County, it’s issued for target shooting and hunting only, not personal protection?
The U.N. General Assembly, on Tuesday, April 4, 2013, approved a sweeping, first-of-its-kind treaty, aimed at regulating the estimated $60 billion international arms trade, brushing aside gun rights groups’ concerns that the pact could lead to a national firearms registry, in the U.S.
Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott wrote a letter to President Obama on Tuesday, saying he would sue to block the treaty, if it is ratified. It appears to lay the groundwork for an international gun registry, overseen by the bureaucrats at the U.N.
Speaking of the government’s agenda, “Agenda 21, which, according to the U.N.’s own website, is a “comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally, by organizations of the United Nations system, governments and major groups, in every area, in which human impacts on the environment.”
In so many words, the United Nations seeks to co-opt, via individual governments, and, eventually, a “one-world government,” privately-held land under the auspices of ensuring its “sustainability.” Worse still, the U.N.’s Agenda 21 has even laid out plans for “depopulation” or, rather, population control.
Wohlhueter stated my last article spoke of “sedition.” May I suggest you and Schultz go to the library and educate yourselves on Agenda 21. Maybe then, you’ll understand why so many people are arming themselves.
Maybe, just maybe, you and Schultz will begin to realize why the Founding Fathers wanted America to have a well-regulated militia. And I’m not talking muskets and black powder.
