Springville's winning sports teams should receive more coverage

I would like to say that, as a parent of a child who is actively involved in sports in our district, I appreciate the Journalís coverage, although making it inclusive has been a struggle, over the years.
Over and over again, I see coverage of losing teamsí being featured on the front page, year after year; football and basketball, repeatedly. We have teams and athletes that are excelling in their sports and are a part of winning teams for our district, but we have to search for their coverage.
Dave DeLuca does a fantastic job, but does losing to Pioneer, who also has a horrible record, need to take the front page of our 0 Ė 11 division and 2 Ė 13 overall record basketball team?
What about putting the girls bowling team, which is 9 Ė 1, on the front page? Other sports are having winning records, but you have to scour the paper, after basketball, to find their results. It just seems that there are many athletes in our district that are not getting their due recognition.
The Journal obviously knows how important reporting high school sports are to parents in the district, as you have adjusted the publication to reflect this. However, please consider giving due recognition to teams that are making S-GI known, in Section 6 and beyond.
