Springville Journal letter: Alison Duwe is well qualified for S-GI School Board

Editor:
We are thrilled that Allison Duwe is running for the open seat on the S-GI School Board. We will be voting for her, on May 21, and we think you should too.

We’ve known Allison since she was a youngster. We’ve known her as a baby sitter for our boys, when they were young. We’ve known her as a referee for SYI youth soccer and basketball. We’ve known her as a three-sport high-school athlete, who led very successful teams.

We now know her as a compassionate and proven leader beyond her years, at S-GI.

Allison worked tirelessly, as board president, at Springville Center for the Arts, to move that organization forward and give it a permanent home at the former Baptist Church.

Allison is known and respected beyond Springville, by elected officials and community leaders, throughout Erie County and New York state.

She brought diverse groups together to achieve common goals, and move those elected officials and community leaders to action.

We watched Allison grow up, and we have had the opportunity to work with her, as an adult. We believe that she will bring a vision to our schools and work with the community, to provide greater opportunities for our youth.

We’re excited to support her in taking on a new challenge.

Please join us in voting for Allison on May 21 and electing her to the S-GI School Board.
