Breaking down National Rifle Association conference

The president of the NRA gave a national press conference, to say itís somebody elseís fault and we need more good guys with guns.
In my opinion, heís the one thatís seen too many violent movies. It seems he thinks that just having a gun makes you the equal of any member of SEAL Team 6. Someone should tell the Pentagon.
Also, the guns the shooter used were his momís, and sheís dead. Didnít protect her very much, did they?
The NRA seems to be running up a tab for the taxpayer to pay for. Because of their demand of no restrictions on guns, we have to pay for armed guards and $100,000 security systems for schools. For someone so linked with the party of ďpersonal responsibility,Ē they seem to be exhibiting very little of it.
And, oh yes. ďLaws wonít stop a mad dog determined to kill.Ē True, but we want to make it a little more difficult for them, so maybe weíll have a school shooting every five years, instead of every month. So the problem is semiautomatic weapons with high-capacity clips.
Let me give you some facts.
An assailant whoís seen every violent movie and video game, armed with a baseball bat, cannot walk into a room with 30 people and kill all of them.
Same assailant with a knife cannot walk into a room with 30 people and kill all of them.
Same assailant with an ax cannot walk into a room with 30 people and kill all of them.
Same assailant with a .38 snubnose cannot walk into a room with 30 people and kill all of them.
In all those cases, someone would have the opportunity to tackle the assailant and restrain him for the police. It seems as far as the NRA are concerned, thatís just too much to ask, for you and your kids.
