Jennifer Sullivan would be an assets to the Springville board

Editor:

Electing Jenny Sullivan to the Springville School Board might just be the simplest decision youíll make this year. To find a more dedicated, passionate candidate to represent the needs of the families of Colden and Springville would be difficult.

Having grown up in the district, and now having made the decision with her husband Mike to raise her four children here, speaks to her dedication to the well-being of the future of the community.

As a friend and fellow parent, I have seen first-hand Jennyís dedication to the education of her children and the desire to make a difference in the lives of the children of this district. She brings a great deal to this position, including her passion for the greater good. Her ability to bring people together to promote positive change is the kind of leadership we need to move Springville Central Schools well into the 21st century.

We face a number of challenges, as most school districts do. However, we have a unique opportunity with Jenny to see true, sustainable change. She will be the voice of the people, whose commitment is solely for a better education for our children. And we can be confident in the decisions made and know that we are represented by a woman who is willing to take risks, challenge the status quo and fight for a better education for our children.

Vote on May 20th
Be sure to get out and vote tomorrow. Springville is electing 3 BOE members and voting on approval of a budget. Remember that politics does not belong in a school board- it should be a board made up of those that represent the entire district, not just a select few and special interests. Seems funny that elections are now being determined by those that spend the most money, not by learning about the candidates and their opinions. Be sure to VOTE- that is what counts in the end.

Stay Informed.
Stay informed-- correct. Both Mrs. Sullivan and Mr. Cerrone have websites that state what they stand for. Do the other candidates? It is easy and free for anyone to create a simple site with their platform.

Stay informed - Part 2
Also correct...a board should be made up of those that represent the entire district. Like it or not folks, Colden is part of this district, and they deserve a voice on the SGI school board. Next year, Collins Center?
