Taste of the Southtowns is finger-lickin’ good!

Come one and all to the first taste in Western New York in 2012. The Taste Of The Southtowns will be held on Sunday, April 22 from 11 - 5 p.m. inside the Springville Fire Hall, Route 39, Main Street, Springville.
Help save the birds and help Gooseneck Hill Waterfowl Sanctuary continue to rebuild and add new species to its flock. Gooseneck Hill is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and has the two largest covered aviaries in the U.S., with over 53 species and 500 endangered and protected ducks, geese and swans.
This may be one reason you will want to come to Springville’s Taste of the Southtowns on Sunday, April 22 from 11 - 5 p.m. inside the Springville Fire Hall on Route 39, Main Street, Springville. Free admission with purchase.
For $1.50, you can buy: Buffalo chicken wing soup, prime rib burgundy soup, macaroni and cheese, smoked potato salad, German potato salad, chocolate brownies/peanut butter frosting, rice pudding, chicken leek and barley soup and bean salad. For $2, you can buy: Asian barbecue chicken pierogis, cornbread/honey butter, SW smoky beans, barbecue meatballs in frosty sauce, blueberry cheesecake, NunBetter blue cheese/veggies.
For $2.50, you can buy: peanut butter dream pie, sesame-crusted Ahi tuna shooters, baklava, lazy pierogi.
For $3, you can buy: sausage corn chowder, seafood bisque, chicken Marsala, smoked carved top round sliders.
For $3.50, you can buy: stuffed pepper/vegetable rice pilaf and goat cheese, Texas cheeseburger soup.
For $4, you can buy: prime rib au jus, beef on weck, skewered shrimp, Greek lamb meatballs, pulled pork sandwich, seafood Newburg, shrimp/mandarin orange toasted almond salad, hickory buttered ribs, chicken Tuscany salad, open chicken souvlaki, shrimp saute’ over rice.
If the above food items aren’t enough reason to attend, then why not come to the biggest and best Chinese auction in all of Western New York? There will be 50 fantastic baskets and you do not have to be present to win. Also, there is a great silent auction.
If you like fantastic music, there will be two terrific bands playing your favorite songs. First: Wagner & Winston will be on stage, then “The Rustic Ramblers” will be on stage with Gene Hilts on steel guitar. There is no charge to attend this event with any purchase.
