Springville Journal letter to the editor: A few lessons in debate
Thursday July 4, 2013 | By:Kevin Ploetz |
My final response to Mr. Shultz’s opinions of the SAFE Act is as follows.
Battles and debates are very similar. There must be at least two parties who disagree, on a subject manner. Teams of opposition must remain on the battlefield or at least make an attempt to debate specific matters of difference. There will be winners and losers. You will be neither, for you, sir, are not a worthy adversary, for you do not stay on the battlefield of debate.
You wrote, in your response to me, a suggestion of what I should read. In courtesy of such a suggestion, I have one to offer you.
Perhaps you should relax and watch some old reruns of “Hogan’s Heroes” and maybe you will learn something.
I only suggest this, because I fear you know nothing, Mr. Schultz. I fear you know nothing!
