Librarian appreciates Mills hot dog roasts

Editor:

I wanted to take the opportunity to thank everyone for their support of Legislator John Millsí Hot Dog Roast held on July 10 at the Hulbert Library.

Legislator Millsí annual fund raiser was held in tandem with our annual book sale and bake sale. The date also marked the 20th anniversary of the current library building and, in recognition of her years of service, the portrait of previous library director Annette Gernatt was unveiled.

Thank you to Legislator Mills, Supervisor Gary Eppolito, Mayor Bill Krebs, the Hulbert Library Board, the Concord Town Board, the Board of the Village of Springville and the Hulbert Library staff. Special thanks goes to all the volunteers who either helped with set up, worked the book sale, or made the ultimate sacrifice and turned on their ovens in July to bake something for the bake sale.

It takes an entire community to make a project like this successful and I do believe this was a success as over $3,000 was raised due to this collective effort. Thank you to everyone for supporting your library and be sure to come visit us as more events and new materials are constantly being added.
