Sardinia taxpayers to get school tax rebates

If you have listened to some of the discussions regarding this school tax rebate issue, you might get the impression that it was done on the spur of the moment. The original discussions were to find and select a centralized location, within the town, wherein everybody would be equal distant, to carry on business, and more importantly, closer in case of an emergency. Facilities at this location would be for the firemen, town board and any other organizations doing business, within the town. If agreed to, the firemen could sell their present holdings and keep the money they would receive.
This suggestion was discussed at organized meetings between the firemen and the town representatives and declared not possible.
The tax rebate was discussed for cost that would not use all the money on hand, restrictions were adopted to make everything as equal as possible.
As a 53-year school taxpayer, and knowing a number of other seniors (which, incidentally, make up a greater portion of the population in the town of Sardinia), I sincerely appreciate this rebate.
